Bugs

May 25th, 2009 by Karla Biel

The kids were outside playing on the swing set and they suddenly run in…..

“Mommy, Mommy, look what we found”

I was not as excited as they were…..they asked if they could keep him as a pet…hmmmm, let me think about that-uh, NO!

A-Team’s Day in Kindergarten

May 20th, 2009 by Karla Biel

After the egg hunt, we went back to the classrooms where Abigail and Allison happily joined the class…

The other kids in the class were very happy to have teh girls join their class…they even gave them their own seats.  The girls participated in a jelly bean taste test…yumm!

After the taste test was complete, we made a graph of your favorite flavor of jelly bean….

Allison filling in her 2nd, 3rd, 4th (I lost count) favorite jelly bean (I don’t think there was a flavor she did not like).

Abigail taking her turn…

The girls had a great time hanging out in the classroom for the morning.  The class was also very generous to help Abigail and Allison take a restroom break, line up for lunch, show them where to goto lunch–I am not ready for them to go on to Kindergarten just yet :-(.

TRAINS….

May 18th, 2009 by Karla Biel

There was a railroad exhibit in town…Kenny and I took the kids to go see this exhibit.

Kaden with his arm around his sisters showing the various party of the railroad exhibit.  I just love the way Kaden has his arms wrapped around Kirsten…so sweet!

The kids posing on the railroad tracks….Is it too much to ask everyone to stand still and smile?

An overly excited Kaden…he just loved this little exhibit!

After we went through the exhibit, Kaden decided that he needed to start collecting model trains :-)

Showcase

May 13th, 2009 by Karla Biel

Stephanie performed in her 1st Showcase with the color guard.  Kirsten also had an opprotunity to be part of the showcase as a Jr Tallenette.  Kirsten was so excited to get out there and dance her little heart out and to be in the same show as Sissy.  The girls did a great job!

This was a HUGE attempt to make her hair curly :-(  I wonder how she can have stiff as a board straight hair with a Mom who has hair that is so curly, you try to straighten it and any amount of humidity will curl it right back up….

My beautiful big princess…

Easter Egg Hunt

May 7th, 2009 by Karla Biel

Since we had school on Good Friday this year, the teacher’s decided to create a little egg hunt for the kids.  There were hundreds of eggs scattered across a field with the # 1,2,3,4,or5 on them.  The kids were given a specific number to find and then they had to go back to the fence and wait for the next number to be called.  Abigail and Allison were able to join us on this fun adventure…..

Kirsten, Kaden and Allison waiting for their turn

Kaden and his hunting partner, Abigail

I FOUND IT!

The kids had a great time hunting for eggs…Kaden and Kirsten were very good about not leaving Abigail and Allison behind. Once all the eggs were found, we went back into the classroom where the kids opended their eggs to put the sentence strips together.

Outing #3

May 6th, 2009 by Karla Biel

Kenny and I had the privledge of taking Kirsten out.  She asked to make a friend at Build A Bear and play ‘glow in the dark golf’.  So, I found a place that offered both and off we went.  Kirsten was very excited to have Kenny and I all to herself.

Once we got to our destinantion, we took a quick tour through Rainforest Cafe where Kirsten discovered a Build-A-Bear workshop and just had to make a cheeta.  So, Kenny and I helped her stuff, clean and dress her new friend….

Here is Barbie getting her 1st bath

Barbie getting dressed

After Barbie was dressed and ready to go, we headed for lunch.  After lunch we went to play a round of glow in the dark miniture golf.  I sure am glad I played a few rounds of miniture golf in my childhood….it made a for a great victory!  I think Kenny and I will take all the kids to play soon…we had a great time!  (Sorry no pictures, not enough light).

After we finished playing, we walked around the mall a little longer and then headed to the Bass Pro shop to see the fish :-).  It was a great afternoon with Kirsten…can’t wait for Abigail’s outing.
